The Journey is Completed!

We successfully arrived at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Airport this afternoon and we were greeted by some of our biggest supporters, our families. It was an unbelievable journey and we want to thank everyone very much for all the support!

We will be sure to keep everyone updated with any future media Mission Kilimanjaro gets!

Landed in Amsterdam!

Kyle, Dan, Takashi, Sandra, and Joey arrives in Amsterdam and have a 2 hour lay over before heading home. We are enjoying some much loved Starbucks for the first time in about a month!

Taking off for the US!

We just boarded the KLM 777 and everyone is anxious to get home! We have a quick layover in Amsterdam, but should arrive in the US on the 26th at 2:45 pm.

Safari Day 2

Yesterday was Day 2 of the safari. We first were privileged to visit a Mosai Camp: see their houses, how they live and learn more about their culture.

Then we went down into the Ngorogoro Crater and immediately saw a lion being chased by a group of water buffalo. It was quite intense, but that was the extent of the action.

Today is our last day and we was to the airport later this afternoon for our 9:50 pm flight.

Everyone is excited to get home to see their families!

Day 1 of the Safari!

Kyle, Dan, Joey, Geneva, Sandra, and Takashi all went on a three day safari. Day 1 included seeing monkeys, gazelle, zebras, giraffe, bison, warthogs and elephants. We spent about 15 minutes watching a herd of elephants walk by our truck, which was absolutely amazing!

We arrived late to the Ngorongoro Crater and had a beautiful view, a nice dinner and slept at 8,000 feet. Today we will venture into he crater to hopefully catch some rhino, lion, cheetah and leopards.

Team Kili Visited a Local Blind and Albino School in Moshi

The whole team enjoyed an absolutely amazing visit to a local school in Moshi. We got to hang out with the wonderful kids and Kyle gave a short presentation. Kevin and K2 Adventures Foundation do some amazing work in Tanzania!

Five members of Team Kili are going on a three day safari starting on the 23rd and then we are headed back to the US.
